How to Order

  • Color: Begin by selecting a fabric color. Should you need a sample, please click the “Samples” tab above.
  • Lining: When selecting a lining, consider your space and the purpose you wish your romans to serve. If you would like your blinds to be lightweight, please choose cotton lining. Select dimout lining to block some sunlight. And to block out the majority of light (suitable for bedrooms), please select blackout lining.
  • Cord Position: Select whether you would like the cord that operates the blind to be on the left or right-hand side.
  • Mounting: Select whether your blind is being installed inside your window frame (1″ required for mounting) or on the outside (above the window frame and measures the full width of window including trim/frame).
  • Measurement: The last step is to measure your window(s). Please follow our guide here. Should you require more assistance with measuring, please refer to our contact page to get in touch with us. Once you have your measurements and know the amount of coverage you require, please enter it in our price calculator. Enter the width and length of coverage you need to generate a cost.

Disclaimers

  • Colors of fabrics may differ from computer/phone/tablet screen than in person.
  • Please order a sample to have a better idea of the color fabric you will receive. Ordered products will not be a direct match to samples because the variance in dye lots from fabric bolt to bolt.
  • Fabrics with natural fiber content such as linen, cotton, wool, flax or hemp are prone to variances in dye lots.
  • Natural fibers react to your room’s humidity and tend to shrink or stretch as the seasons’ change.
  • Natural fibers like Linen, have lines/flecks or other natural characteristics which are not flaws, but a trait of natural fibers.
  • Linen has reduced elasticity and does not spring back readily, thus wrinkling and creasing easily.
  • Cotton can be ironed but not steamed. Steaming cotton fabrics can cause shrinkage.
  • Silks naturally have slubs, shading, uneven construction and other inconsistencies. These are not defects, but rather the natural beauty of the fabric.
  • Blinds with blackout lining will have pinholes where the light will slightly shine through when there is daylight against the back of the roman blind. This is normal and from where hardware rings are sewn.

Child Safety

Child safety is critical to us. Our products are manufactured per the Government of Canada’s Window Coverings Regulations and Window covering safety guidelines.

We advise all customers to follow these necessary window safety precautions:

  • Always keep cords out of reach.
  • Never place cribs, beds, and playpens near a window where a child could reach a cord.
  • Do not place any piece of furniture that a child can climb, near a window.
  • Attach tension devices with corded window coverings securely to the wall so children can’t place the cord around their neck.
  • Install a cleat or tie-down device high on the wall and use it to keep cords out of reach.
  • Do not tie knots in cords. Immediately untie any knots that form.
  • Remove any devices that form dangling loops, whether at the bottom, middle, or top of the cords.
  • Corded window coverings can become a greater risk if they are not correctly installed. We always recommend professional installation.
