The rod can be trimmed to size using a hacksaw or pipe cutter, allowing for full customization to fit your specific window or door dimensions.

For an ideal installation, the rod should extend 6-10 inches beyond the window or door frame. This ensures that the drapery panels can stack outside the window, keeping your view unobstructed when the drapes are open. For rods longer than 6 feet, we recommend using a third bracket for added stability, especially with heavier fabrics like blackout curtains.
