Different Drapery Styles & What Suits Your Space Best

Selecting a drapery pleat style can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. At Fine Interiors, we offer four distinctive pleat types, each offering its own style and benefits. Follow our guide to see which pleat style best suits your space!

RIPPLE FOLD PLEAT DRAPERY PANELS

Ripple fold draperies are by far one of our most popular drapery styles. Ripple fold drapes are highly functional and provide a contemporary and sleek look. This drapery style pairs with channel rods and glide effortlessly side-to-side. If you are looking for draperies that you are going to open and close daily, these are the drapery panels for you. These draperies are suitable for both windows and doors. They are also ideal for small spaces as the stacking of the drapes when open is minimal compared to other styles.

TOP-PINCH PLEAT DRAPERY PANELS

Top-pinch pleat draperies are a great addition to any transitional space. While our ripple fold drapes are more suitable for a contemporary space and our pinch-pleat for more traditional homes, the top-pinch comes right in between. These draperies are highly functional and fabulous for everyday use while beautifully framing your windows.

INVERTED PLEAT DRAPERY PANELS

Similar to top-pinch pleat draperies, inverted pleat drapes are ideal for transitional homes. Inverted pleat drapes are best suited as decorative panels and are less functional than the other three options. They typically look best when paired with roman shades or other styles of blinds that can provide privacy or control lighting.

PINCH PLEAT DRAPERY PANELS

Pinch pleat draperies are classic and timeless. They provide a room with both warmth and elegance. These draperies are typically best suited for traditional spaces and are very functional.
